What does 'superimpose' mean for images?＋
Superimposing places one image directly on top of another so both are visible. The opacity slider controls how transparent the top image is — at 100 % it's fully solid, at lower values the base image shows through.
What if the images are different sizes?＋
The base image sets the canvas dimensions. You can freely scale the superimposed image to fill the entire canvas, shrink it to a small logo, or anything between. Aspect ratio is locked by default but can be overridden.
Can I superimpose a PNG with a transparent background?＋
Yes. Transparent PNGs work well as overlays. Only the visible pixels appear over the base image, while transparent areas let the base show through. This is a clean way to add a logo, image watermark, or cut-out.
